Carlos Martinez is a Salvadoran-American born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  Carlos has been involved with Latin  American  solidarity work for many years.  He recently served in Venezuela as the program director for Global Exchange, where he coordinated dozens of delegations to Venezuela. He is the co-author of a book entitled, Venezuela Speaks! Voices from the Grassroots, a collection of interviews with members of Venezuela’s diverse social movements.  His articles have been published in Common Dreams, Monthly Review Zine, and on www.venezuelanalysis.com.
