While this march is wonderful and long overdue, why have the organizations that are obviously backing it not taking responsibility? Tami Monroe Canal and others who claim to simply be concerned citizens without organizational backing and resources put this important action at risk by not revealing the organizations who are behind the march. This lack of transparency leaves the March open to attack by Monsanto and others and leaves advocates like me wary. Also, like the national protest planned by Organic Consumers in 2011, there appears no plan to keep this important work moving forward and to build a movement for accountability for this corporation and the governments and others who support it.
